水ケ峠トンネルの花

国道３１７号線の水ケ峠トンネルの今治側です。
トンネルを出たばっかりのところに植えてある花は、玉川では知らない人はいないというくらいのボランティアの達人Sさんが中心となって、サイコロ作業所の人たちなどが管理しています。昨年の夏にはバンブーの仲間たちも清掃作業をしたり、地元の玉川中学の子供たちも手伝ってくれました。
今年玉川の閉町を記念してそしてアテネ五輪を記念してオリーブの木が植えられました。
これもSさんの発案です。
きれいに整備された花壇にSさんの町づくりに対する思いが伝わってきます。
最近ここで休憩をとる人の姿も増えてきました。
まさかこんなところでポイ捨てなんてできませんよね。
ここに止まったら、１度オリーブの木のところの記念プレートも読んでみてくださいね。
